No Muscle Left Behind: Conditioning the Canine Athlete
This course will cover several common ways to condition canine athletes, including endurance roading and swimming, resistance band strengthening, and balance/proprioceptive exercises. We will describe and demonstrate normal canine gait patterns, as well as learn how to recognize abnormal gait. We will discuss the importance of strength and conditioning in regard to the prevention of injury and ways in which to incorporate protocols in both a professional and amateur training setting.
